Belen, Iquitos June 2025 Soccer Match
It was hot, sweat was inevitable and my hunger brought me outside to find a delicious meal at Dawn on the Amazon. I ate my meal and walked along the side walk facing the Amazon Jungle. Just a few meters away I could hear cheers of the youth. I was delighted to see that despite the harsh environment of Belen, there was still time to find enjoyment in a friendly match of a a timeless game.

The video speaks for itself, sadly upon my return in 2025 my jungle friend had passed away. I imagine he's in a banana tree field with his fingers pulling on everyone's hair who visits.
